"I love my apartment," she smiled. "It has three bedrooms and two huge bathrooms and I'm very comfortable here." Her four grandchildren love to visit and she's set up one bedroom as a playroom. The long hallway served as a perfect bowling alley and the children love having their grandmother close by. Although they spend lots of time at the community pools, DeBate says the best times are when they just hang out together in her apartment. Christopher Oquendo/AJC Special
