Amazing Space: Architect's creative outlet

Residential architect Robert Norris purchased this Loring Heights property 15 years ago, remodeling it five years later to create a more cohesive look between the home and garden. Though he doesn't like to remove trees, he did sacrifice one magnolia that blocked sunlight to the front yard. "I couldn't get anything to grow," he said. Now, curving beds filled with boxwoods, hostas and caladiums draw the eye to the front door and give the landscape structure.
