Fifteen-year-old Connor, who was born in New York -- the couple lived in Manhattan for a decade before moving here in 1993 -- "loves the city," Echo says. "He wanted his room to look like a loft space" and they "wanted to create a cool hangout for him and his friends," she says. Textured paint makes the walls look like concrete, and the ceiling is indigo.
