Spirit of the islands comes to Cobb
Echo and Kevin, married nearly 27 years, were newlyweds when she saw a photo of a bedroom ceiling painted like "the twilight sky." She reproduced it with a ceiling that conjures "what you see just before the sun goes down" and painted the walls to look like "old European plaster." These jobs surprised the painter, especially when asked to distress the banisters. "You have to understand I'm used to working in East Cobb where everyone wants everything to look perfect," Echo recalls her saying. SEAN DRAKES/Special
