Antiques, bargains co-mingle in 'English manor'
The portraits that line the foyer staircase are not the Gittners' relatives. They are American Primitive paintings and portraits of European nobility that the couple and their family found at antique shops and auctions. Among them, Nathan favors the large piece above the doorway: a painting of an Earl of Effingham. It is by an English portrait artist who painted the Tudor Court, Suzzannah says. SEAN DRAKES/Special
