Despite being in severe disrepair, Zurab Lezhava and his wife, Nino Sukhishvili, bought the home in 2004 for roughly $3.6 million. The couple, originally from the Republic of Georgia, fell in love with the home's craftsmanship. "I hadn't seen anything like it in Atlanta, or America at that," he said. "It's a pure Old World building with Old World craftsmanship." With a background in renovating historic European hotels, Lezhava quickly embarked on a dramatic renovation project.
