St. Simons retreat relishes sea breezes

On the other side of the front foyer, a narrow passageway leads to this spacious gourmet kitchen, which was added during the 1990s renovation. An adjacent former screened porch was converted to the breakfast nook. The dining room next to the breakfast room includes a built-in corner cupboard. It also once contained a floor-activated buzzer that diners could use to signal for service from the kitchen.
