Atlanta's Ivy Hall gets reborn
The wall above this fireplace revealed a secret when it was restored. The quote shown here is from Ralph Waldo Emerson, and was always visible. It says "The ornaments of a home are the friends who frequent it." However, the words from Charles Dickens' poem "The Ivy Green" were also found on the transoms around the room.
