The goal of landscape design is to work with and interpret the homeowner’s vision. In this case, the homeowner requested a tropical and colorful plant collection balanced around the pool.

Providing protection from the sun or rain was important for the owner of this backyard. The space features a stand-alone shade pergola which yields comfort and adaptability to weather conditions.

To create a lush outdoor space, Habersham Gardens, an in-town garden center and landscape design / maintenance company, recommended this lanai be accessorized with tropical plant-filled containers.

A collection of containers and planting areas, in many styles and colors, and two Italian cypresses were duplicated by Habersham Gardens on each side of the pool for a sense of balance and symmetry.

The large lawn beyond and surrounding the pool deck, maintained by Habersham Gardens’ landscape service team, has a very calming effect and serves the homeowner as a welcoming backdrop for the pool.
